Structural configuration: steel frame, steel dome structure, and internal platform for the nuclear reactor, with a total steel usage of 2,600 tons.

Project location: Lengjiazhuang and the neighboring Dongjiazhuang villages in Daxinjiatown, Haiyang City, situated between the three major cities of Qingdao, Yantai, and Weihai on the Jiaodong Peninsula.

Project Overview: This project is a nuclear power project approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and controlled by China Power Investment Corporation (CPI). It employs the state-of-the-art AP1000 Generation III nuclear power technology designed by Westinghouse of the United States. The fabrication of steel structures must comply with the project’s specialized quality assurance system, and welding personnel must hold AWS Certified Welding Engineer qualifications.
